A double action revolver with many interesting features,
the Jacob Shaw gun has a cylinder mounted above the barrel,
an extendable tube sight through the center of the cylinder,
an automatic set trigger, and a concealed hammer, which strikes
the bottom chamber in the cylinder. The rotating and locking
mechanism operates on the front of the cylinder instead of the rear,
allowing the construction of a very compact small revolver. The only
specimen known bears serial number one and is marked JACOB SHAW, JR.
on the left side of the frame. |
